About Neill and Peter

NeillNeill Griesel was born in Zambia and came to SA as a very young child when his parents returned home. He attended school in Phalaborwa and spent much of his childhood in and around the Kruger Park. His knowledge of wildlife is extensive. Neill has a deep and abiding respect for life on the planet and a particular empathy for and love of animals. At a young age, Neill developed a passion for horses and horse riding. After completing national service and a stint at Onderstepoort doing veterinary science, Neill trained in the UK as a horse riding instructor. On his return to South Africa, Neill got a job at Highflyer Stud and was very soon promoted to manager, which he has been for the past twenty seven years. He is a vegetarian and this has led to a search for a better quality of food. What better way of finding this than to grow it oneself. Neill is an excellent bread baker and vegetarian cook.

PeterPeter Henochsberg was born and raised in Pretoria. He was schooled at Christian Brother's College and, after completing his national service and a two-year stint with SAA seeing the world, Peter attended the University of Pretoria where he qualified as a social worker. Upon graduation he moved to Cape Town and took a post at Valkenberg Psychiatric Hospital and later at the Cape Mental Health Society and then Epilepsy South Africa. During his working career, he furthered his studies in psychology at the University of the Western Cape and later obtained an MBA from Stellenbosch University. Peter has worked for nearly twenty years as a management consultant and social worker in private practice. However, his love of the land and hankering for a better quality of life has led him to complete a National Diploma in Agricultural Managent from Unisa in 2013. He calls himself a "late-onset-wannabe-farmer". Peter considers himself to be a 'new ager' and is deeply concerned about the planet and all life on her. He has consequently turned towards organic and biodynamic farming. Peter enjoys good food and cooking.
